While Parsec’s error codes are usually cryptic, is the harsh reality check of remote desktop life. It’s almost always the host machine screaming for help. Usually, it’s one of two things: parsec error 14004
After reviewing user reports and technical documentation, we identified several potential causes of Parsec error 14004:

If another app is using the hardware encoder, Parsec will fail with 14004.
Sometimes the host's configuration prevents incoming connections. Go to Parsec Settings > Host. Ensure "Hosting" is set to "Enabled." Then restart the Parsec app
