If you are using the Vita3K Emulator , the "font package" is a required system component to render text in games and the UI.

There are fan-made fonts on sites like DaFont or 1001Fonts that are named "PSVita" (often mimicking the PlayStation logo or the Vita logo styling).

For those with custom firmware (Henkaku/Enso) on a physical Vita, "downloading a font package" usually refers to acquiring .otf files to replace the stock system font.
