ఆ రైతుకు చాలా ఆందోళన కలిగింది. ఇంటికి వెళ్లి భార్యతో, “ఈ సంవత్సరం పంట పండదంటే, మనకి అన్నం దొరకదు. ఏం చెయ్యాలి?” అని అడిగాడు.

కొద్ది సేపటికి, పొలం దారులు అందరూ అక్కడకు వచ్చి, ఆ రైతును చూసి నవ్వడం మొదలుపెట్టారు. ఆ రైతు, “ఏం అయ్యింది? నా పొలం గింజలు చూసి నవ్వుతున్నారా? ఈ సంవత్సరం పంట పండదని కాకి అన్న మాట నిజం కాబోయేమో?” అని అడిగాడు.
