The first two seasons, produced by Studio Lerche and aired on NHK, adapted roughly 10 volumes of Tony Valente's comic. By the end of Season 2, the anime had largely caught up to the published material.

The Radiant doesn’t come as expected. Instead, a new threat emerges: The Infected , sorcerers whose Fantasia has been mutated by the Radiant’s whispers, turning them into mindless, crystalline monsters.

As of now, Radiant has not been officially canceled, but it has not been renewed either. The series remains in a state of limbo—neither dead nor alive. For devoted fans, the best course of action remains supporting the official manga releases, as strong sales figures remain the most likely catalyst to revive the anime production. The most significant factor working in favor of a third season is the availability of source material. Radiant is based on the manga written and illustrated by Tony Valente. The anime adaptation has not yet caught up to the manga; in fact, there is ample content available to adapt a new cour. As of 2024, the manga has progressed well beyond the events of the "Bôreme Arc" (where Season 2 concluded), providing studio Lerche with a solid narrative foundation for a Season 3.
