Base system device driver is not found in my Aspire A715-75G.
"Base System Device" in Windows 10 means a hardware component (like a chipset controller or card reader) is installed but missing its driver. Your computer can still run normally, but some features like power management or extra ports may not work fully.
Specifically, it is usually the Ricoh or Realtek card reader found on laptops like Dell, HP, and Lenovo.
Sometimes, Windows just needs a second chance.
Go to the tab and select Hardware Ids from the dropdown. Look for a string like PCI\VEN_XXXX&DEV_XXXX .
In Windows 10, a Base System Device appearing with a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager typically indicates a hardware component on your motherboard that is missing its driver. This often refers to components like internal card readers, chipset components, or power management controllers. Microsoft Learn +3 Identifying the Missing Driver Since "Base System Device" is a generic name, you must identify the specific hardware to find the correct driver: Open Device Manager
