The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah sends ten blessings upon him, erases ten sins from him, and raises him ten degrees in rank." (An-Nasa'i). The simplest way to get this is:

The Prophet (ﷺ) looked up. Allah had revealed a new command, not just as a verse, but as a direct conversation between the Creator and His Beloved.
"O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, such blessings by which You relieve us of all fears and calamities, fulfill all our needs, purify us of all evils, raise us to the highest stations in Your presence, and enable us to attain the furthest goals of all goodness in life and after death." He said, "Then I will be your intercessor
"Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Muhammad) and also His angels (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on him, and (you should) greet him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation, i.e., As-Salamu 'Alaikum)." (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:56)
Jibreel continued, "Allah has commanded that we reveal to you the most perfect form of sending blessings. He asks you: 'O Muhammad, why do I see you hesitate to recite the Durood? Is there anything in the heavens or earth more precious to Me than you?' "
