Click where you want the arrow to start, then click where you want it to end. A straight line path will appear.
While still using the Path Tool, click somewhere off to the side of your line to create a third point. Drag this point to create a triangle shape for the arrowhead. (Or, simply draw a separate path for the arrowhead).
: Select the Paths Tool (shortcut B ) from the toolbox. Click once where you want the arrow's tail and a second time where you want the arrowhead.
If you can’t install plugins or just need one quick arrow, you can build one manually using GIMP’s native Path tool. It sounds complicated, but it only takes about 10 seconds once you get the hang of it.
