The Library Story -

The library story began over 5,000 years ago when humans first attempted to organize collections of documents. The Royal Library of Ashurbanipal , founded in the 7th century B.C., is the oldest known library, housing 30,000 clay tablets inscribed with cuneiform, including the legendary Epic of Gilgamesh .

“A library is a story that the community tells itself,” says Dr. Alan Cross, a historian of public institutions. “It says: we believe in free access to knowledge. We believe every person deserves a chance to learn, to create, to connect.” the library story

One day, a young boy named Timmy wandered into the library with his mother. Timmy was struggling in school and was looking for a way to improve his reading skills. Mrs. Thompson noticed that Timmy was browsing through the shelves, but he seemed a bit lost. She approached him and asked if he needed any help. The library story began over 5,000 years ago

Timmy was excited to sign up for the program and started reading right away. With Mrs. Thompson's help, he found books that he loved and was able to improve his reading skills. He even started to enjoy reading, which made a big difference in his schoolwork.
