Prtg Update History Does Not Contain Any Entries

Make a small, inconsequential change to the sensor settings (e.g., add a tag or change the scanning interval slightly) and save it. Once the sensor reloads, check the Update History tab again. This action should generate the first entry, confirming the logging feature is working.

PRTG stores configuration data and history in different locations depending on your setup. If the Core Server is having trouble writing to the configuration file ( PRTG Configuration.dat ) or the database is acting inconsistently, logs may fail to write. prtg update history does not contain any entries

Occasionally, specific versions of PRTG may contain bugs that prevent the UI from populating the history tab, even though the logs exist in the backend.

The most common and benign reason for an empty history is simply that the sensor is new.
