The EDL point works perfectly, but it is not a magic wand for downgrading software. It requires the user to flash the exact correct firmware version or newer.

It is impossible to review the EDL point on this device without mentioning the Anti-Rollback (ARB) protection. The Note 9 Pro Max is equipped with anti-rollback firmware. If you attempt to flash an older version of the firmware via EDL, you risk permanently hard-bricking the device (EDL itself might fail to revive it).
