The notebook entry for that day was a single sentence. I wanted to object. I wanted to scream. Instead, I pressed record. I am a coward.
October 4th. I finally bought the camera. I am an amateur in every sense. I do not know how to focus. I do not know how to frame. But I must capture her. She does not see me. She is the light. She looked directly into the lens
There is no more film. The light is gone.
The technical skill never improved. The framing was always slightly off. The exposure was often blown out. It was objectively bad filmmaking. It was the definition of amateur work. Elias reached the final spool of film
