Some EliteBook models require a BIOS update to fix touchpad I²C communication bugs. Check HP’s driver page for your exact model number (found on bottom label). hp elitebook right click not working

Right-click your touchpad driver (often listed as or HID-compliant touchpad ) and select Update driver . left-click works normally
Windows Update often installs a generic driver that conflicts with HP’s custom hardware.
Windows may have disabled the two-finger tap or press-and-hold right-click function.
