Mutual generosity transcends this binary. It is not a ledger but a dance. It operates on the principle of concordant giving , where each party gives according to their ability and need, without immediate expectation of return, yet with a deep-seated confidence that the other will do the same when circumstances reverse. In a mutually generous relationship, the gift is not the point; the relationship is the point. The giving becomes its own reward because it strengthens the bond.
