In conclusion, the latest chapter of Malayalam cinema is defined by a fearless spirit. It is an industry that is confident enough to experiment with genres—ranging from horror-comedies to survival thrillers—while staying true to its roots of realism. The recent releases are not just movies; they are cultural conversations. By prioritizing strong narratives over star power and embracing technical innovation, Malayalam cinema continues to set the benchmark for Indian filmmaking, proving that content is, and always will be, the ultimate king.

: The much-anticipated sequel to Lucifer , starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, continues to perform exceptionally well, grossing over ₹268 crore globally.
The first half of the year saw several major titles that dominated both critical discussion and ticket sales: The following titles have recently set new benchmarks
Malayalam cinema, often heralded as the pioneer of realistic storytelling in India, has entered a golden era that transcends regional boundaries. In the post-pandemic landscape, particularly over the last year, the industry has not just recovered; it has reinvented itself. The latest released movies stand as a testament to an industry that refuses to be typecast, balancing commercial viability with artistic integrity. From large-scale pan-Indian spectacles to deeply intimate character studies, the current slate of Malayalam films showcases a maturity that few other industries can rival.
One of the most defining characteristics of recent releases is the sheer diversity of genre. For a long time, Malayalam cinema was stereotyped by the outside world as consisting solely of somber, realistic dramas. However, the blockbuster success of films like Aavesham has shattered this notion. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham is a loud, vibrant, and chaotic action-comedy that proved audiences are hungry for theatrical experiences that are unapologetically entertaining. It demonstrated that the "Mass" genre, usually the domain of larger-than-life Telugu or Hindi cinema, could be executed with a distinct Malayalam flavor—grounded in local geography yet elevated by stylized filmmaking. By prioritizing strong narratives over star power and
Simultaneously, the industry has doubled down on what it does best: human stories grounded in reality. The recent critical and commercial success of Aattam (The Play) is a prime example. Directed by Anand Ekarshi, the film is a chamber drama that dissects gender dynamics and moral hypocrisy within a theatre group. It features no grand sets or expensive VFX; its power lies entirely in its writing and performances. The fact that a film like Aattam finds an audience alongside big-budget actioners highlights the sophisticated palate of the Malayalam viewership. It proves that the audience rewards substance over style, compelling writers to prioritize narrative depth.
: Rounding out the top hits, this film secured a solid ₹153 crore, proving the industry's consistent drawing power.
: One of the most talked-about upcoming projects, slated for a release. Nagabandham: The Secret Treasure : A fantasy-adventure scheduled to arrive on July 2, 2026 . Whether you’re looking for the massive scale of or the fresh narratives of Pallichattambi

Hello. This guide is well written. Thanks for sharing.
I do want to ask about your choice of installation directories being created out of /home/oracle. Services, such as ORDS, will run out of the Oracle user’s directory. Do you think it would be more OFA compliant to install everything (APEX, ORDS) under something like /u01/app/oracle?
