New Police Story (traditional Chinese: 新警察故事) is a 2004 Hong Kong action thriller directed by Benny Chan. While it shares the title of Jackie Chan’s 1985 classic Police Story , this film is but a reboot with a darker, more dramatic tone. It marked Jackie Chan’s return to the Hong Kong action genre after a period focusing on Hollywood films.
